This website provides Filipino researchers with resources on the various quantitative and qualitative research methods and research designs. In the end, this website dares Filipinos to conduct mixed methods research designs. Mixed methods helps answer research questions more broadly, capturing both the breadth and depth of a phenomenon under study. Mixed methods also encourages creativity among researchers, trying out numerous possibilities to combine methods people never imagined to be put together before —and even piloting new research designs.
This online repository on mixed methods also democratizes the information about mixed methods, what with Filipino researchers from across the country —rich and poor regions, fully- and under-supported— executing mixed methods designs in aid of self-learning. In the end, information-empowered Filipino researchers can execute mixed methods in order to generate newer knowledge and generate solutions to problems —both of which are rooted from the Philippines.
This site was put up by a journalism instructor from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila. Its design and development were courtesy of a web developer from the same university.
